    Hi all,

Does anyone have language in their policies about NOT allowing court-ordered community service volunteers ? We've recently had two people reach out to us about volunteering for court-ordered community service. We realized that we didn't have a policy in place and since we are a municipal museum, we checked with our city HR department. They do not want us to have court ordered volunteers. However, they don't have any language we can use and wanted us to find language from other volunteer managers.

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

Our local pre-trial diversion group, Project 20, inadvertently sent us a felon who caused a great deal of trouble on site (one of the court sanctions against him was for 'vexatious litigation')  All of our prior inquiries had been based on a list of approved sites maintained by that office. We removed our organization from the referral list and inquiries ceased. Perhaps that could be an option for you as well? -- Deirdre
